The Woodville West Torrens Football Club would like to confirm that the 2009 Season will be the last for Ken Farmer Medallist and Premiership player Mark Passador in the Eagles colours.
Passador, who came to the Club in 2003 from Hawthorn VFL affiliate Club Box Hill, will return to Victoria at the conclusion of this season.
Passador said “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Eagles. After initially coming to SA with the intention of staying for two years, to be here seven years is testament to what a fantastic Club this is."
“I will miss everyone involved in the Club, from the backroom staff through to our members and supporters, all of whom have provided me with considerable support from the moment I arrived.”
“Last but certainly not least, I will miss the camaraderie from the playing group, many of which have become lifelong friends”. “Having said all of this, our attention must be on the upcoming Finals series, of which I believe we can figure prominently in”.
On Passador, Woodville West Torrens Football Club Coach Ron Fuller said “the Woodville West Torrens Football Club can be proud of the performances over the seven seasons that he has been with the Club. He will be a hard man to replace”.
Fuller added “Any player that comes into our Club, plays one hundred games, wins a Premiership and a significant award such as the Ken Farmer medal can be extremely proud of his own career as well. All Clubs need to look to acquire players with the character and talent of Mark and we can be thankful that he has played for us”.
The WWTFC wishes Mark and his fiancée Liz all the best for the future.
